Cookie policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones Smartsysanalytics uses, and how you can manage them. Related personal-data practices appear in our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can be essential for basic functions or optional for measuring how pages are used.
How we use cookies
We use essential cookies (and similar local storage) to remember your cookie preference. Optional analytics cookies help us understand which guides about German IT applications are read most often. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or consultation requests.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| smartsysanalytics_cookie_consent | Stores your accept or reject choice for optional cookies | Until cleared (localStorage) | Smartsysanalytics |
| _ssa_analytics | Optional aggregate page-view measurement for guide content | 6 months | Smartsysanalytics (only if accepted) |
Managing and disabling cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our cookie banner when it appears. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored consent key and will show the banner again. Browser controls can block cookies entirely; essential preference storage may then be unavailable, but the site remains usable.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP address to Google. We do not load third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce additional analytics vendors later, this table will be updated and consent will be required before non-essential cookies run.
Impact of disabling
Disabling optional analytics does not affect requesting a document review or reading guides. Disabling all storage may require you to set a cookie preference on each visit.
